As part of the wider Neighborhood Building Owners Alliance (NBOA), we advocate for responsible housing in Chicago. Our members tend to be younger, with portfolios under 1,000 units, and in the active stages of purchasing, renovating, renting, and either holding or flipping. WHIP’s multifaceted initiatives are focused around three key pillars:

  1. Support: We maintain a network of women who work and own investment properties, offering the same networking that is often not available to women, minorities, and those who did not inherit their properties. 
  2. Education: WHIP is dedicated to providing comprehensive training and resources for women interested in pursuing careers in housing.  
  3. Community Outreach: WHIP is on the front lines, contributing to our community through volunteer efforts and support.

These sponsorships keep our barriers to individual memberships low, which allows smaller owner-operators to participate and reap the same benefits.
